Terms and conditions

These terms govern the use of Kandiq, an online service that helps you write, analyse and track job applications. Using it means you accept them. They apply to consumers; any high-volume professional use requires a written agreement.

An account is required to keep your documents across devices and to use the AI features. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential and for any actions taken from your account. An account is personal: sharing it among several people is not allowed.

You can delete your account at any time from the Account screen. Deletion is immediate and also deletes your saved documents.

Writing a CV, analysing it and seeing its score are free, including the fix suggestions, which are shown in full and never blurred. A subscription unlocks document downloads, mock interviews and the features that tailor your CV to a job advert.

AI features are subject to a daily cap meant to prevent automated use. It is well above what preparing an application requires and resets every day.

Prices are displayed and charged in the currency of your country, all taxes included. The applicable VAT is that of the buyer's country of residence. Payment is processed by Stripe: your card number never passes through Kandiq.

Renewal is automatic and its amount is shown next to the button that charges you, before payment. In accordance with article L215-1 of the French Consumer Code, a reminder is sent to you before each renewal date, and you can cancel in one click from the Account screen, with no form or letter.

Cancelling stops the renewal, not your access: the period already paid for is yours until it ends and stays open. At the end of the period, the account returns to the free plan.

No document you have already created becomes inaccessible when a subscription ends. Your CVs, cover letters and reports remain viewable, editable and exportable. A CV downloaded once stays downloadable, even months later.

You have a fourteen-day right of withdrawal, and Kandiq adds a 30-day commercial guarantee on top of it. The conditions and steps to follow are detailed on the Withdrawal and refunds page.

• The proposed text consists of suggestions. They are displayed in a separate state and are only added to your document if you accept them.
• You remain the author and are responsible for the content of your CV. Proofread every sentence: a model can get a date, a job title or a number wrong, and it is your application that goes to the hiring manager.
• The analysis score is computed from displayed, reproducible criteria. It measures how well a document complies with rules known to applicant tracking systems; it does not predict a hire, an interview or a reply.
• Kandiq promises no job search results and does not apply to any job on your behalf.

• Only upload content you have the right to use, and for the professional headshot, only images of yourself.
• Do not use the service to produce false information about your background, or to impersonate someone else.
• Do not automate access to the service, do not bypass usage caps, and do not attempt to access another account's data.

A serious breach may lead to suspension of the account. In that case, you can still export your data, and the unused paid period is refunded pro rata.

The service is provided without any guarantee of continuous availability: maintenance, a provider incident or an overloaded model may interrupt it. We commit to restoring the service as quickly as possible and to not charging for any extended period of unavailability.

The publisher can only be held liable for direct damage attributable to it, and up to the amounts paid over the last twelve months. This limit does not apply in the case of gross negligence or willful misconduct, or to personal injury.

These terms may change. Any substantial change is announced by email at least thirty days before it takes effect, and you can cancel free of charge within that period. The version that applies to a purchase is the one in force on the day of that purchase.

These terms are governed by French law. In the event of a dispute, first contact hello@kandiq.ai: most are resolved there.
